Shinobi's First Day At Home

Shinobi is still too tired to really want to get out of bed or play :( We're thinking it's a combination on her injured leg, the anti-inflammatory and the anti-parasite treatment. What a lot for her to have to deal with! She is also off her food, but she will suspiciously eat cheese. Could it be that Shinobi has reached a sort of teenage phase, off her food and wants a long lie in?

I think it is a rather sad reflection of my life that I feel jealous of Shinobi's little den here and found myself daydreaming about how nice it would be to spend the day there sleeping and chewing ha! A dog's life!

Shinobi's the bees knees

This morning Shinobi was unusually quiet and refused to get out of bed. When gently encouraged to stand she started screaming and limping her back leg! One emergency rush to the vets and an anti inflammatory injection later, she seems brand new. It seems that along with Shinobi's big growth spurt is also a dodgy knee problem developing, her back right knee clicks sometimes and pops. This morning it popped out of place to such an extent that her leg muscle strained as a result. She is now on a strict very gentle exercise/no walking regime which will mean no going to work, which means a Shiba alone in the house for 7+ hours whilst we're working. We have never done this before and I feel terrible! We are getting the X Pen set up. I know she needs rest but I'll be worrying all day + I have my driving test tomorrow and will be out way longer than usual. Ahhh and on Valentine's day.

As usual, the day began with an epic battle between a dark shadowy man and a dragon thing on a cake.

And whats this?! A Shiba allowing herself to be held for a long period? Could it be Shinobi finally got tired?! Unlikely. Could it be that Shinobi is the Queen of Shiba and did not like muddy paws? Definitely!

I realised today that I have no pictures of Shinobi and I together! Then I discovered why...

First attempt: Shinobi jumped clear out of the shot and all I got was this bizarre profile picture of just me. Humphf (she had been perfectly positioned to my right looking at the camera).

And this rubbish attempt is the best we managed! (Believe it or not) A blurry mauling-my-hand photo! Apparently Shinobi does not like posing with me. I officially give up...
